About Westchester Community College:
Westchester Community College was founded in 1946 as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in White Plains. In 1957, the County of Westchester bought the 360-acre John Hartford estate in Valhalla and designated 218 acres for the community college. Job Description:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Teaching courses related to the overall fashion industry, visual merchandising which will include demonstrating visual techniques and implementing displays, textiles and international buying. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to engage students in active learning and integrate technology into the classroom. Will also assist students with the yearly fashion show.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Marketing, Fashion Design, or a closely related discipline and one (1) year of practical experience is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Five (5) years of executive level fashion industry experience and three (3) years teaching experience at the college level as described above is strongly preferred.
Additional Information:
SALARY & BENEFITS: $82.57 per hour. No benefits.
